Kick-off meeting of the EU project POSITIVE

First POSITIVE meeting
Freising, Germany, October, 6-7, 2000

Organised in conjunction with the EU project POSITIVE and the Vegetation Dynamics, Climate, and Biodiversity Commission of the International Society of Biometeorology the International Conference Progress in Phenology - Monitoring, Data Analysis and Global Change Impacts took place on October 4 - 6, 2000 in Freising, Germany.

This conference addressed all aspects of plant and animal phenology with a focus on monitoring phenology, modelling phenology, the assessment of future impacts, and applications of phenology in the context of global climate change.

At the same time this conference was an open workshop where methods and first results of POSITIVE have been discussed. The POSITIVE project meeting took place after this conference on Friday (Oct. 6) afternoon and Saturday morning.

Second POSITIVE meeting
Montpellier, France, January, 30-31, 2001

During this meeting new results of POSITIVE were discussed and annual interim report was prepared.

Third POSITIVE meeting
Tartu, Estonia, Aug 29 - Sep 1/2, 2001

Our next meeting will be hosted by the Institute of Geography, University of Tartu.
