According to the amendment of the Bavarian Act of Universities (Bayerisches Hochschulgesetz, BayHschG) on May 18, 2006 (in effect since June 1, 2006) the Federal State of Bavaria imposes tuition in accordance with article 71 to article 101, paragraph 1 of BayHschG. Tuition will be imposed as of summer term 2007.
By imposing tuition the Federal State of Bavaria aims to improve the conditions and lectures in all study programmes.
Each year a commission establishes a plan for the dispersal of tuitions at the School of Forest Science and Resource Management. The board consists of three employees and three students. Meetings are held several times each term and decisions are taken democratically. The decisive criteria for measures developed by the board are the priorities of the students and the department. The proposals must be implemented in accordance with the guidelines put into place by the Presidential Commission.
